Witness

I’M GOING TO BE TRUTHFUL WITH YOU ALL RIGHT NOW: I HATE THIS COVID-19 SEASON.

There have been so many blessings in it with regards to work; the load has lightened tremendously and I am getting a much-loved break. I am grateful to still have my job. But my freedom, my ability to explore and spend unlimited amounts of time with the people I love has been limited. I long for the beach, to walk feeling the sand in between my toes, feel the crash of the waves against my shins, the sound of seagulls gliding above my head.

I want to go to Arthop with friends, try out new food trucks, and go to the movies. I want to freely attend church without condemnation. I want to have friends over and hang out with them.

A LOT OF WHAT I’VE TAKEN FOR GRANTED HAS BEEN STRIPPED AWAY IN THIS SEASON.

I’m not coping well.
