Book Review: A Redesigned Life
Here is the final book in the trifecta for this week. I hope you enjoy the review.
Heads up: I receive these books each month for free in exchange for my honest review. I receiver no other compensation other than the chance to read new books...which I LOVE!
About the Author: Tracy Steel is a former interior designer and ministry leader. She now enjoys redesigning the inner hearts and minds of women in her life. She is a mother of two and a military wife living in Arizona. She holds two Masters of Arts, one in biblical and one in theological studies. She enjoys speaking and mentoring women. To find out more about Tracy and take part in her 10 week bible study for young women, please visit www.tracymsteel.com
About the book: We all love great design. But what happens when we discover we are living a life we did not design? When our dreams lie in tatters and nothing is going according to our carefully laid out plans. Where is God in the midst of the mess?
Drawing from time- honored design principles such as movement, contrast and pattern, Bible teacher and former interior designer Tracy Steel offers you the assurance that God is the ever-present, caring, Designer of your life and that He remains true to His plans and purposes in ever season- especially the messy ones. Through biblical examples and true stories from her own experience, Tracy will help you recognize God's purposeful design in your life so you can experience peace and contentment even when life doesn't go as planned.
My Review: Although Tracy has left the interior design world, she still uses it to help the reader redesign their life in Christ, despite loss or pain. Tracy also uses several biblical truths to help the reader embrace the redirection that God has for them. She adds a story from women in her circle to encourage the reader that they are not alone. Reading this book felt like sitting down with an friend who loves you and wants to encourage you in your walk with Christ. It was a pleasure reading A Redesigned Life; I left encouraged and willing to embrace the changes that God has for me.
